My Girls!

My Girls!

Glad You're Here!

I haven't decided what my motivation is for this blog. I have always enjoyed writing in my journal so I suppose this is an extension of that joy. Before computers and email, one of my favorite things (you know, that thing that makes you all tingly and happy inside) was laying a blank piece of paper in front of me, pen in hand, and letting my imagination turn it into "something"... anything... I've always been partial to blue ink. Not sure why. I like the way the blue looks on the white background. I also like the "feel" of a blue pen over a black pen. (Your guess is as good as mine?) Now that computers have taken precedent over snail mail and the 'ole pen & ink days, I must say that an empty text box is almost as enticing as a blank piece of paper...almost! Since the 90's, the Internet has been an exciting place of discovery for me. Conventional education (even though I was a good student- my girls might read this) was a bit boring to me. The system is just a little too square for those of us that might feel more like circles, ovals or hexagons. For those of us that thrive on a challenge and change in routine, the Internet provides unlimited access to questions or interests that might find its way into our mind. It's so enticing to me that I've taught myself (am still teaching myself, actually) the art of web design, and am now working in the web arena. I love to learn new skills. Especially ones that engage my creative side, my organizational side, my technical side and the side of me that loves the idea of taking an empty space in the universe and filling it with dreams! (OK...it's not that romantic, but it was fun to say.) Besides, playing and working on the computer... I am the oldest daughter to two wonderful parents. I am the big sister to two of the most fantastic women EVER! I am the wife of a man that makes me want to be a better woman. I am the mother of two beautiful, sweet, smart, perfect (wink) children. I have lots of nieces and nephews that I adore! I am part of an extended family on all sides that are closer than most siblings. That said, I'll warn you... we're all a little crazy, and when you're as close as we are, it can get ugly (I mean interesting) some times! Stay tuned and you're sure to get an ear full (or is it eye full on a blog?). Plus, most of us enjoy a cold brew and/or a glass of vino, and that can lead to some questionable times. :) Bottom line... In my first blog I'm compelled to tell you some of the reasons I feel my life is soooo blessed. That way you'll know that all of the venting and craziness that will follow is somehow resting on a solid, unconditional foundation of love and inner happiness. Only living in the moment, for the moment and doing the best you can in that moment will get you here.
